Burnley have agreed a £1.5 million fee for Richard Chaplow with West Bromwich Albion.
Burnley chairman Barry Kilby confirmed that The Clarets had finally agreed terms with West Brom - who have been assiduous in their pursuit of the midfielder over the past month.
Kilby revealed that Chaplow was in talks with The Baggies over a contract, and that he would complete his move before the transfer window shuts at midnight.
"We did agree terms over Richard," Kilby told Sky Sports News.
"He is meeting with West Brom to discuss terms today [Monday].
"If he finds an agreement then he will join West Brom."
Manager Steve Cotterill admitted that the fee was too big to turn down, and revealed that the club would get a percentage of any future sale.
"For a deal of £1.5 million in cash with a sell on clause, it is an excellent deal by the chairman," Cotterill told Burnley's website.
"We've held our nerve right until the last minute and obviously we'll miss Richard around the place.
"I like him as a lad, but we have done well without him when he was injured this year and we will look to continue to do well in his absence.
"Everyone at the Football Club would like to wish Richard all the very best and hope he continues to further his football career."
