Updated odds on the FA Cup - Chelsea are favourites!

Southampton have added the capture of Olivier Bernard to the earlier signing of Henri Camara.

Striker Camara was brought in to St Mary's from Wolves to bolster their forward line and he has been followed to the South Coast by Bernard who will be charged with the task of shoring up Harry Redknapp's defence.

French full back Bernard has signed a deal until the end of the season, after which he will become a free agent.

Bernard was due to be out of contract at St James' Park at the end of the season, but The Magpies have cancelled his contract by mutual consent.

The defender will look to put himself in the shop window in the next five months at St Mary's, before taking advantage of his Bosman status in the summer.

A statement on Southampton's website claims they fended off late interest from Birmingham to land Bernard.
