The name Thomas is synonymous with innovation. It?s a fact that?s been proven time and again throughout the company?s nearly 90 years of existence. Thomas has set the stage to once again revolutionize the school bus industry. Within the company?s newest manufacturing plant, a new conventional school bus is being built. The Saf-T-Liner C2 will continue the Thomas tradition of pioneering advances in product design, engineering and manufacturing processes.
The $39.7 million, 275,000-square-foot manufacturing plant is located in High Point, N.C. The new plant will add 178 jobs when production reaches capacity.
