Angel Trains is at the forefront of delivering new rolling stock and refurbishing existing stock for train operators across Europe.

Landmark orders for rolling stock include:

  • 785 Desiro vehicles from Siemens for South West Trains, the UK’s largest train operator, in an order worth €920m
  • €900 m for Virgin Trains’s tilting Pendolinos
  • €41m in new passenger trains for the Danish State Railway
  • €124m of Alstom’s Lint 41 regional trains for Arriva Tog A/S, Denmark's first private train operator.
  • 280 locomotives for EWS the British Freight Operator in a deal worth €520m.

Recent refurbishments include:

  • Delivering €45m of private sector investment to Merseyrail. Passenger benefits include refurbished interiors and performance boosts from engineering modifications.
  • Angel Trains’s GNER HST Fleet Refurbishment is providing Passenger benefits of reliability, comfort and safety. A full overhaul of each power car, upgraded interiors and new catering facilities for the buffet cars.
  • Angel Trains is investing €24m in its fleet of 165 diesel trains on lease to Chiltern Railways. Improvements include new lighting, seating, carpets and better handrails for visually impaired passengers, air-conditioning and re-engineering to increase reliability.
