As the result of continuing success and growth, MVI is seeking great people to join its talented team of Subject Matter Experts. The Position. The Subject Matter Expert (SME) develops and communicates original, useful insights on the retail industry to MVI?s client base ? primarily large CPG manufacturers. The SME is engaged in strategic, financial, operational and tactical assessments of the retail industry; with an eye towards producing ?implementable insights? that can help drive client results. We expect an SME to be able to connect seemingly unrelated events into ?themed? stories ? to see patterns and trends in data, and to be able to tie together quantitative and ?real world? analysis in a compelling way. At the same time, as MVI is well-known for its published products, newsletters and client-facing training, high quality writing and presentation skills are essential to the role. Through a combination of insight generation, client management and product delivery, the SME ensures that MVI?s research, analysis and training exhibit relevance, freshness and usefulness. Position Accountabilities and Deliverables. It is expected that the successful SME will be capable of accomplishing/achieving the following: Facilitation and Training ? Develop and deliver MVI content to the client community Knowledge Transfer - Bring ?current thinking? from the supplier community to MVI analysts Grow the Culture - Make quality research and useful analysis key aspects of the MVI knowledge culture Product Development - Lead MVI research and analysis on at least one (1) product line Thought Leadership - Drive MVI research and analysis across multiple product lines Internal Resource ? Be perceived as a valued resource to all MVI associates who have client-facing responsibilities Position Requirements.
