Shortstop, Jr. Sedona, Ariz., Bats-L, Throws-R, majoring in Business Administration. A highly recruited shortstop who should be a major factor in the Cowboys' success this spring. An outstanding defensive shortstop with great range and a strong arm. Jeff is a threat with the bat and on the bases. A line drive hitter who hits for a high average. A smart baserunner who possesses good speed. One of the best all-around players ever to attend Wyoming. Represented the state of Wyoming at the Olympic Tryouts last fall. Batted .370 and .409 his two seasons at Glendale Community College in Arizona.

Jeff's Senior Year:

Senior, shortstop, West Sedona, AZ. Bats left, throws right. Jeff made a remarkable transition from junior college to major college baseball last year, and in in the process established himself as one of the top collegiate players in the nation...Jeff led Wyoming in six offensive categories last year, including hits (69), batting average (.329), and total bases (89)...possesses outstanding offensive skills, and is tremendous in the field...he has a strong arm, good range and a consistently sound glove...despite finishing second on the team in stolen bases with 16, Jeff needs to become a consistently aggressive base runner...was a first team All-Northern Division and first team All0Western Athletic Conference selection last year...had an outstanding summer as a semi-pro in Beatrice, NE...attracted considerable attention from pro scouts for his performance at the National Baseball Congress Tournament at Wichita, KS last year ... Jeff is a business administration major.
