| Our customers will be pleased to know that HUD Group's modern and well- equipped 40,000 tlc floating dock "United" has been moved from its previous location at Yam O to its new mooring site at the west of Tsing Yi, adjacent to and with direct shore to dock access from the dockyard's main premises. The drydock's new close proximity to the workshops and other facilities will result in significantly improved repair times, enhanced productivity and many other benefits and gains for shipowners and shipmanagers including direct cost savings and improved drydocking times as well as convenient access and shorter vessel transit times to and from the drydock and the port's container terminals and anchorages. The benefits of the relocation of "United" together with some recent restructuring improvements in our shiprepair and other marine businesses opens up a new and challenging chapter for HUD Group. Many of our regular customers and a number of new clients are already taking early advantage of HUD Group's new and improved services with a progression of drydocking and repair bookings of large size container ships from K-Line, APL/NOL, Hapag-Lloyd, COSCO, and Evergreen for our "United" dock. HUD's established reputation for providing top quality and reliable drydocking and repair services on time is strengthened by recent successes in our newly devised "one-shop- stop" strategy for afloat repairs in the port of Hong Kong and the development of our technical advisory services and propeller repair business in the neighbouring regions of south China. | ||
