SunSensors® Launched in Korea

October 17, 2003 -- The Korean lens manufacturer, SOMO, is Corning?s new partner for the SunSensors® product line. Mr. Joon Soo Shin, Chairman of SOMO, commented on this partnership: ?After a year of close collaboration with the Corning team, Somo Optical is pleased to announce the launching of simple vision SunSensors® with a light and elegant design.?

The project?s next stages: ?We?re concentrating on sales through the international Somo network (Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul) to create a new market for SunSensors® and to increase SunSensors® market share. Finally, Somo will launch a new aspheric design with anti-reflecting coating and will integrate a progressive lens Sunsensors® product into the SOMO LUX line. Currently in progress, these projects are scheduled for launching in 2004.?
