On October 6, 2004 at the Interbike Tradeshow, K2 Bike introduced the T:Nine Women?s specific line of bikes to the media and dealers. The T:Nine bike line is designed by women for women. The line consists of 4 on-road bikes and four off-road bikes. To make sure the T:Nine bike line is authentic, K2 has recruited a team of 5 women bikers, each representing a key demographic within women's biking. Called the Alliance Team, these women are responsible for providing direction in all areas of bike development, in addition to helping develop the marketing of the T:Nine collection to consumers and retailers.
