Service Options
SkyTel Remote Access Program
The SkyTel Remote Access (SRA) Program includes monitoring devices coupled with a pre-designed web application interface. SRA devices include intelligent firmware used to monitor analog signals, and monitor and control digital signals to and from your assets. The SRA devices and web interface are available from SkyTel, and monthly service fees apply.
Network Access Program
This program is designed for the true ground-up developer, allowing you to send and receive data over SkyTel?s nationwide two-way data network. SkyTel provides an XML-gateway to its wireless network to transport data to and from your assets. You procure and program your own remote terminal units (RTU) using transceiver developer kits from approved manufacturers, and build your own application that interacts with our XML-based network gateway using the WCTP protocol.
