BigPond automatically protects you from common viruses. To keep safe from other known viruses, worms, Trojans and other malicious applications, you can add two further levels of anti-virus security.

As a BigPond Member, your mailboxes are automatically protected from some viruses by our basic network virus filters. This filter is always on, and simply rejects any incoming emails carrying common viruses.

Additional Protection - BigPond Email Virus Filter

The BigPond Email Virus Filter provides an additional level of protection that will block almost all known 'Trojan' (malignant programs disguised as normal applications) and 'Worms'.
It also emails you with details of the sender and subject, so that you can advise the sender they have sent a virus and request any legitimate attachments again.
You can subscribe or unsubscribe when you want.
Virus definitions are updated automatically, so your protection stays up-to-date.

This service uses the award-winning Sophos Engine that can help stop all known virus infected emails from entering your BigPond mailbox.
