| Most of Memtech's drives include the following features to guarantee your data's safety under even the harshest conditions. Active Remap? This is Memtech's proprietary error recovery algorithm to ensure that if a memory block fails, your data is still safe. ECC Error detection and correction (also known as EDAC) is employed on our AT2500, AT3500 and Mighty IDE drives, and is coming soon to our SCSI drive. An Error Correction Code (ECC) is appended to the end of each 512 byte sector. This powerful algorithm can correct any single error burst, and detect up to three error bursts per sector. Safety and EMC Compliance Memtech's AT2500, AT3500, SC35 and Mighty drives have now been screened for electronic emissions and safety compliance. Security Erase The AT2500/AT3500 and AT2550/AT3550 series of IDE drives, and the SC35 and SC2500 series of SCSI drives include a security erase feature that, via software command, erases all memory on the drive. Erasure takes under 40 seconds for the AT2550 with 16 Gbytes installed! Perfect for military applications requiring protection of sensitive information. Shock and Vibration Immunity All of Memtech's drives are extremely rugged and reliable. That's because, unlike standard hard disks, there are no moving parts to wear out or fail. And all of Memtech's products use only hard (soldered) connection internally. This means that there aren't even any sockets or friction based connections, another source for product failure under harsh conditions. Write Protection All Memtech solid state flash drives except members of the Mighty and Rocket series come with a write protection jumper or switch. If your application is read only, then using write protection guarantees your data will always be there. Zero Seek All of Memtech's drives are solid state, and benefit from no physical seek time. Access times range from under 0.1 to 0.7 milliseconds depending on the product. Your data is ready almost as soon as you request it © 2005, Memtech SSD Corporation ? 800.445.5511 |
