| The Dial Corporation, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., manufactures and sells consumer products and employs more than 2,300 people worldwide. We are organized into four core business units: Personal Care, Laundry Care, Home Care and Food Products. Within these Business Units our trademarks include Dial, Purex, Renuzit, Coast, Zout, Tone, Pure & Natural, Trend, Treet, Armour, Armour Star, 20 Mule Team, Boraxo, Soft Scrub and Combat. Dial products have been in the American marketplace for more than 130 years and the slogan for Dial Soap, "Aren't You Glad You Use Dial?" has been one of the best-known slogans in America since its introduction in 1953. On March 29, 2004, Dial became a wholly owned subsidiary of Henkel KGaA. Our exciting new partnership allows us to reach new customers across the world and continue developing innovative new products. The Henkel Group operates in three strategic business areas - Home Care, Personal Care, and Adhesives, Sealants, and Surface Treatments. More than 50,000 employees work for the Henkel Group in 126 countries around the world. A key element in Dial's future growth is the development of innovative new products. During the past few years, Dial® has launched new Dial Complete™ Antibacterial Foaming Hand Wash, Dial® 2 in 1 Body Wash & Shave Cream and Dial® Daily Care Body Washes and Liquid Hand Soaps. Tone® introduced Tone® Lotion and Body Butter. Renuzit® has introduced Super Odor Neutralizer™, Roller Scents™, a long lasting bathroom deodorizer, and Airlets™, a long lasting and discreet air freshener that plugs into electrical outlets. Our Purex brand has introduced Zout® Laundry Stain Remover liquid and spray. Armour® introduced new Steakhouse Tenders™ and Armour® Snack Dips to store shelves. In 2004, Dial's parent company, Henkel, divested their stake in Clorox, and the Soft Scrub® household cleaners and the Combat® insecticide business were added to Dial's portfolio. January 2005 |
