(AMEX:FEP) announced today that it paid a cash dividend of $229,000 on Preferred stock on December 30, 2004 and simultaneously retired 25% of the Preferred shares for $1.145 million. The cash dividend payment of $229,000 is in lieu of the issuance of additional Preferred shares as the dividend. FRANKLIN ELECTRONIC PUBLISHERS ANNOUNCES $20 MILLION REVOLVING CREDIT FACILITY FROM PNC BANK WITH LOWER INTEREST RATES BURLINGTON, New Jersey - December 8, 2004 - Franklin Electronic Publishers, Inc. (AMEX:FEP), announced that on December 7, 2004 it entered into a new three year $20 million secured revolving credit facility with PNC Bank replacing the financing arrangement that expired by its terms on that date. Interest under the new facility will initially be 1/2 percent below the Bank's prime rate or LIBOR plus 1% (approximately 1.5% below prime) as determined quarterly by the ratio of funded debt to EBITDA of the Company. The interest rate under the Company's previous financing arrangement was 3/4% above the prime rate. more »
