DLS is an advanced lighting control system that places the control intelligence in the fixture. Each DLS dimming ballast contains a microprocessor and memory chip. This eliminates external processing hardware and complex wiring schemes typical of traditional dimming systems. Multiple zone assignments, scenes and fades are all retained in the DLS ballast's memory. Each Cooper Lighting fixture is individually addressable, providing complete user flexibility to re-program zones, scenes and fades. Select Cooper Lighting fixtures may be ordered with the DLS option.

DLS offers material and labor cost savings because there are no dimming panels or extra dimming hardware to wire, as well as no control zones to wire. The DLS system frees the engineer, lighting designer and contractor from labor intensive and costly control schematic layout and wiring. With zone programming and dimming control from a wireless remote, the dimming system is flexible and can be modified at any time to adapt to a new user or change in floor plan.
