    Chris Smith, Vice President, Development

    Chris SmithAs Vice President, Development Chris is responsible for spearheading the development of new products and extending the functionality of current platforms and applications. He also plays a lead role in co-development opportunities. Chris has more than 20 years experience in enterprise software development including executive positions in both Canada and the U.S.

    Chris joined InSystems from Ironside Technologies where, as Vice President of Product Development, he played a key role in building a solid development organization, expanded the solution footprint, and leveraged customer-funded development. Prior to joining Ironside, Chris was Vice President of Product Development with FreeMarkets, Adexa and Marcam Solutions. Earlier in his career Chris held several increasingly responsible software development positions with IBM Canada where he gained valuable experience using IBM processes and ?best practices?.

    A graduate of the University of Toronto, he holds a BSc in Math and Physics and a MSc in Astrophysics. His extended professional development education includes the Executive Development Program at Cornell University, the IBM Advanced Leadership Program and Project Management certification from George Washington University.


    Kim Slater, Vice President, Services

    Kim SlaterAs Vice President, Services, Kim Slater is responsible for managing all of the various aspects of the customer relationship including Professional Services, Training, Account Management and Customer Support. Kim was most recently Director, Professional Services and has assumed increasingly responsible positions in PSG since joining InSystems in 1998. He has been responsible for directing InSystems' largest co-development projects with some of the insurance industry's largest companies, including the Calligo Beta Program and the XRM for Group initiative.

    Prior to joining InSystems, Kim worked for Cantoc Business Systems. At Cantoc he held the position of Senior Account Manager, responsible for Cantoc's largest multi-billion dollar customers in the warehousing, distribution and logistics business. Prior to joining Cantoc in 1993, he was Manager, Business Customer Relationship Management Systems with the Royal Bank of Canada.

    He earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from York University.


    Andy Amalfitano, Vice President, Sales

    Andy AmalfitanoAs Vice President, Sales, Andy is responsible for developing and managing relationships with InSystems prospects as well as its 350 customers in insurance and other industries. He and his team work with customers towards the quick realization of their business goals, including time to market and ROI.

    Prior to joining InSystems, Mr. Amalfitano was Senior Vice President of Sales and Service with The Bulldog Group, a digital asset management company, where he was responsible for international sales and professional services. Prior to that appointment, he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for the Canadian operations of BAAN Company with responsibility for sales, sales support and services. During his tenure with GEAC SmartStream (formerly Dun & Bradstreet Software), he held a number of progressively responsible sales management positions in Canada and the United States.

    Mr. Amalfitano earned an Honors Bachelor of Commerce at Laurentian University and is a Chartered Accountant.


    Neil Betteridge, Director, Marketing

    Neil Betteridge As Director, Marketing Neil Betteridge has overall responsibility for InSystems? Corporate and Product Marketing, Communications, Marketing Programs and Product Management. In addition, InSystems? Compliance Solutions group reports to Neil. He initially joined InSystems in April 2003 as Director, Industry Solutions responsible for guiding the application of InSystems software solutions and capabilities in addressing the needs of insurance and financial services organizations.

    Immediately prior to joining InSystems, Neil spent eight years as a key member of the team building up Castek as a new insurance core business systems vendor, contributing in a variety of development and services leadership, product management and marketing roles.

    Neil?s over 15 years of experience in the information technology field also includes internal architecture and management positions, as well as consulting in application development practices.

    Neil is a graduate of McGill University with a B.Sc. in Mathematics and Computer Science.


    Michael Inglis, Controller

    Michael Inglis A chartered accountant since 1987, Mike is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, budgeting, contract administration, payroll, foreign exchange, risk management and tax matters.

    Prior to joining InSystems, from 1989 to 2000 Mike held a number of increasingly responsible finance positions with Unilever Canada Ltd., one of Canada?s largest consumer products companies.

    He received his CA designation while articling with KPMG, and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto.
