PreStrike larvicide is ideal for backyard use in birdbaths, water gardens, ornamental fountains and for farm use in animal water troughs. It is easy to apply.Simply sprinkle the granules into water and watch as they sink to the bottom where they remain, leaving the water crystal clear. PreStrike will not harm humans, animals, fish or vegetation when used as directed.

Other products, such as Mosquito Dunks®, are less desirable because they float on the surface of the water where they break apart creating unsightly debris. Because they are buoyant, dunks can easily float away or get stuck in corners of large pond areas reducing their effectiveness. Homeowners may also need to anchor them down to keep them from floating away.
