NUTRALENE® Methylene Urea

Turfgrass professionals know that the most important factor in growing thick green grass is a continuous supply of nitrogen throughout the growing season; but there has to be the right amount, too. Insufficient nitrogen reduces grass color and thins turf so it more easily falls victim to disease, weeds and insects. On the other hand, excessive nitrogen overstimulates growth and stresses turf with extra mowing and heavy clippings. NUTRALENE controlled-release nitrogen provides just the right amount of "spoon-feeding."

NUTRALENE is a controlled-release nitrogen fertilizer with a guaranteed analysis of 40-0-0. NUTRALENE can be purchased in two sizes - granular or chip.

Homogenous Granules Contain Three Nitrogen Sources

This reacted methylene-urea polymer nitrogen has a unique Triple-Action Release for quick, intermediate and long-lasting results. Through a combination of hydrolysis and microbial activity, nitrogen is evenly released over a 12- to 16-week period under a broad range of environmental conditions. It enriches the soil microbiology and feeds the turf at the same time. This Triple-Action mechanical release of NUTRALENE gives you a three-fold advantage.

Occluded urea (15%) releases quickly to provide a good immediate response during the first four weeks after application.
Short-chain methylene urea (MU) polymers (50%) provide the sustained feeding required from Week 4 through Week 10 after application.
Long-chain methylene urea polymers (35%) sustain the release for an extended feeding period.

The nitrogen supply in NUTRALENE does not depend solely on moisture or soil temperature for its release. NUTRALENE provides an excellent supply in cooler temperatures and over winter. A low salt index means this advanced nitrogen source will not burn. You can count on uniform, sustained feeding, even with hot weather and heavy rains.

In addition, the nitrogen release rate of NUTRALENE is not related to coating or particle size. Other fertilizers may release nitrogen too quickly due to breakage during packaging or spreading. NUTRALENE, however, is formulated in homogenous granules that provide predictable and dependable results.
