WINDOWS

There are no specific windows drivers for our monitors... Adjusting a PC's display settings to suit Hantarex Data Monitors: You should make sure that the Monitor Type selected in the WINDOWS Display Settings for the video card is a Standard Manufacturer Type, and model SVGA 1024x768 should be selected. Bear in mind that the monitor will only run up to 1024x768 interlaced, or 800x600 & 640x480 non-interlaced. The Horizontal frequency must lie between 31 to 38 kHz.

Interlacing is a method to display half the total number of lines at any one time (by scanning the odd numbers in one field, followed by a separate field containing the even numbers), which consequently reduces the horizontal and vertical frequencies. Hantarex data monitors process the interlaced signal extremely well, resulting in a high-resolution image with no appreciable flicker.

However, many newer PC video cards do not support 1024x768 interlaced. Usually, the first desktop bar option for 1024x768 in Windows Display Settings (Standard Manufacturer) would be the interlaced option, if supported. If you have an option to adjust the refresh rate, you should set it to 60Hz for 640x480 & 800x600, or set it to 43Hz for 1024x768.

If you are using a laptop computer, you may have to disable the internal screen (usually by using one of the Function buttons at the top of the keyboard). Some laptop external monitor connections are compatible for simultaneous output to both their internal screen and the CRT output. However, others require the laptop internal screen to be turned off, to function correctly with our monitors.

MAC

Hantarex data monitors (models as above) are compatible with MAC 13 or 14-inch video settings only, to comply with their acceptable frequency range (Horizontal frequency: 31 to 38 kHz).
