What is Bird-Kote??
BIRD-KOTE is a nutritious coating for wild bird feeds made up of vegetable oil, which has been fortified with oil soluble vitamins and elements needed by wild birds. Among these additives are: Vitamin A,Vitamin D3, Iodine, Calcium, and Nutritious Vegetable Oil.
BIRD-KOTE ENHANCES BIRD FEED BY:
- Increasing the vitamin content of Vitamin A
- Increasing the vitamin content of Vitamin D3
- Increasing the Iodine content which is needed by birds
- Increasing the natural calcium content of the feed by adding pellets of calcium carbonate. This not only increases the nutritional value of the feed but also provides a most beneficial and needed abrasive ingredient. Most birds require an abrasive ingredient in their craw to help the muscles of the craw grind their feed so it can be more easily digested. These abrasive ingredients are not available to birds in the natural state during snow coverage.
