Attwood Avenir Seat Earns Innovation Award Attwood was recently recognized at the 2001 BoatBuilding trade show with a product innovation award for its new Avenir boat seat with shock-absorbing suspension system. The BoatBuilding Innovation Awards annually recognize the top three innovative, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) products for recreational boat builders. Avenir The Avenir seat features the patent-pending Shock Absorbing System, which absorbs 4 Gs of impact without transferring shock to the rider. It also improves comfort and reduces spinal compression. The SAS Seat Pan suspends molded urethane foam over a spring-isolated grid. While the springs absorb energy and reduce shock, isolated suspension does not allow the boater to bottom out against the hard surface. | The patent-pending Shock Absorbing System absorbs 4 Gs of impact without transferring shock to the rider.
