Focus on Creating Value | |
We developed the SPX Value Improvement Process internally as an integrated, transferable approach to doing business. The Value Improvement Process ensures that we look at our business the same way our shareholders do... from the perspective of creating value. A new way to create value is to secure international trade and prevent disruptions in the economy. To do that, SPX Air Treatment recently joined the largest voluntary partnership between the government and the private sector in US history ? the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT). Taking an early lead By actively participating with C-TPAT, part of the US Homeland Security Act, SPX Air Treatment is taking a leadership role to manage our global partnerships and operations according to the strongest possible protocol. ?Our major customers are beginning to require C-TPAT compliance from their business partners,? says James Gresbach, SPX Air Treatment?s director of global sourcing. ?Since C-TPAT certification could become a requirement, we?re taking action now to protect our future business opportunities. And to ensure our security practices are effective, SPX will also require compliance from our business partners within the supply chain.? Five areas of focus SPX is focused on five critical areas to bring our corporate culture in line with the C-TPAT requirements, which include:
Commitment to safe global trade SPX is proud to be a global company, and appreciates our associates and services partners who all work together to make us successful. We encourage others to contribute to the continued free flow of international trade through the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
