Taxes & Duties
New York residents will have sales tax added to their bill at the New York sales tax rate in force at the time the goods are dispatched.
European residents will have V.A.T. added to their bill at the U.K. V.A.T. rate in force at the time the goods are dispatched.
Customers outside U.S. and Europe may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once the package reaches its destination. Additional charges for customs clearance must be borne by the customer. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. When ordering from Shanghaitang.com you are considered the importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations of the country in which the goods are being received.
Guarantee
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your Shanghai Tang purchase, you can send it back to the nearest customer service center within 14 days. Goods must be sent back in their original condition including packaging, along with receipt and reason for return.
Upon reception of the goods as described above we will refund your credit card at the original selling price of the item(s) returned, excluding shipping cost or we will exchange it according to your wish.
We will contact you upon receipt of the returned merchandise.
- Returned items should be sent by registered mail. We will not be held responsible for any loss in transit.
- Duty and taxes associated with overseas delivery will be borne by the customer. Please contact us if any queries at our Hong Kong headquarter.
