It is now a legal requirement in the UK and Ireland that all organophosphate sheep dips be dispensed using a ?closed transfer system?. A closed transfer system is a safety device designed to prevent contact between the user and the dip concentrate as it is added to the dip bath.

The Animax Manual Pump is a closed transfer device, designed by sheep farmers for sheep farmers, and we are proud to say that it has been short listed for the MANUS Award for Engineering Excellence ? watch this space to find out if we win!

Using a simple system of dry break connectors, the Animax Manual Pump can be used to fill the dip bath, rinse the drums, and clean itself, all by moving a lever back and forth; it requires no external power supply, as well as being lightweight and robust.
