Who is honoring Fisher-Price® with an award?
American Baby Magazine
Each year for the AMBY awards, they ask readers to nominate the products that simplify their job as parents. More than 10,000 people weighed in with their three "can't live without" items for a total of more than 30,000 votes in all. iParenting Media
iParenting Media's Award Program provides a credible and objective method of determining the best products in the children's media and juvenile products industry, and recognizes those products with awards.
Each product submitted to iParenting Media is evaluated by a team of reviewers using a proprietary process, incorporating objective standards of measurement. Three outside reviews are performed on each product: a licensed childcare facility/school, an expert and a parent. The reviewers complete an extensive survey and return additional feedback about each product.
National Parenting Center (The)
The National Parenting Center's Seal of Approval program is an independent testing procedure conducted to judge a variety of products introduced and marketed to the parent/child consumer market. The testing involves a multi-step process conducted over an eight week period. The testing facility of The National Parenting Center gives parents, children, and educators the opportunity to examine a variety of submitted products. The testers are encouraged to play with, build, read about, and judge by the reactions of the children, each product's quality.
Participants fill out questionaires for each product they test. Evaluated are each product's level of desirability, sturdiness, interactive stimulation and other ingredients essential in the make-up of a quality product.
The Seal of Approval program is designed to continue the efforts of The National Parenting Center, which was chartered in 1989 to help create better informed parents as they tackle the challenges of parenting in the new millennium.
Nick Jr. Magazine
Toy experts conducted a Toy Test to select the most creative new preschool toys of the year. Each toy scores one point for: Creativity, Open-Ended Play Patterns, Originality, Developmental Design, Quality, Value, and Fun. A panel of preschoolers, a Ph.D., Nick Jr. editors, parents, and educators review the toys. Each toy selected needs to have that "wow" factor.
