Eucerin Finally also in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic
Introduction of Eucerin
After a many months of adequate marketing and sales preparation the worldwide known brand Eucerin was introduced in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic in early 2007.

Its arrival on new markets was announced by the Beiersdorf Company at a press conference held at the Jalta Prague hotel on Wenceslas Square.

Introduction of the new brand was subject to huge interest. Sixty journalists hardly made it into the main congress hall nicely decorated with colors and motifs of the Eucerin brand. Mr. Ladislav Spacek, a popular moderator and well-known promoter of the code of ethics and proper manners and a longtime advisor and spokesman of President Václav Havel started the press conference.

The first person he introduced was Professor Peter Arenberger, Chairman of the Czech Society of Dermatology and Head of the Clinic of Dermatovenerology of the 3rd Faculty of Medicine of Charles University. During his speech he informed the audience about the current state of health of the skin of the Czech population – since Eucerin products are used for skin treatments and curing.

Professor Arenberger was followed by a series of brief presentations by the Beiersdorf Company’s marketing specialists, who explained to the audience the brand’s position in the world and its potential on the Czech market. MUDr. Krajsová, the head physician of the Clinic of Dermatology of the 1st Faculty of Medicine of Charles University, who has been cooperating with the Beiersdorf Company in the Czech Republic for a long time already and who significantly participated in development of the Eucerin brand expert concept, offered excursions to dermatology offices.

The company also presented a pre-recorded interview with Dr. Frank Rippke – specialist and director of the Eucerin Division of the Beiersdorf laboratories. He informed the audience about the scientific methods used in development of dermocosmetics and the scope of products offered to consumers by the Eucerin brand.

Visitors of the Press Conference
Upon completion of the presentations, the moderator, Mr. Spacek, invited all the guests to a ceremonial luncheon. Its key discussed topic was Eucerin and dermocosmetics in general. All the present guests were impressed by the topic of the press conference and they wished Eucerin a great future.

However, another issue became clear during the discussions. The Eucerin brand is being officially introduced only now, but numerous guests already knew it. Mr. Ladislav Spacek summarized it quite concisely: “Fifteen years ago, during my visit to the United States, Eucerin was recommended to me by one of my hosts and – incredibly – a face allergy that was untreatable by local dermatologists for months disappeared within a few days like magic. Since that time, I would bring Eucerin from my foreign trips for all my relatives and friends as well.” 

One can, therefore, expect that Eucerin will soon be recommended in this way by all the dermatologists and pharmacists in the Czech Republic.
