Stewart worked at KPMG, Rowntree Mackintosh and the UK subsidiary of Donnelly Corporation before joining Smith & Nephew in 1984. From 1984 to 1990 Stewart was Financial Controller for the Medical Division and then Finance Director - Hull. Steve joined BSN as Group HR Director in April 2001 after holding a variety of HR and Change Management roles in Unilever, Thames Water and AIC Group. At Unilever he worked in a number of subsidiary businesses, including Birds Eye Walls, United Africa Company, Norfolk Line and SPD. Claus joined Beiersdorf in 1982 with responsibility for establishing a new business with eflective sheetings and PVC foils for traffic signs. He then spent three years at McKinsey and Company, Inc. before moving back to Beiersdorf in 1989 as Director, Business Development medical international. In 1992, Claus became Corporate Vice President of Business Development and in 1995 became Corporate Vice President of Beiersdorf's Orthopaedics/Phlebology. Since 1998, Claus has been President of Beiersdorf-Jobst Inc based in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. In summer 2003, Claus took over the responsibility of the GBU Wound Care and the regions of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Darrell began his career as an officer in the US Marines and joined Smith & Nephew as Operations Director in Largo, Florida in 1990. He was promoted to Vice President of Operations and later transferred to the UK to become Managing Director of the Medical Fabrics Division. He was appointed President of Smith & Nephew's Orthopaedics global business unit in January 1999, and was responsible for the enlarged Orthopaedics global business unit in BSN.
