Faurecia chaired the third CTI Forum on automotive seating For its third session, the Car Training Institute (CTI) Forum was devoted this year to "the future of automotive seating" and was held in Paris (France) with many French automakers as well as all automotive equipment suppliers involved in this area in attendance. Faurecia, leader on the automotive seating market, was pleased to chair this edition, which enhanced profitable discussions about the new market trends in terms of safety, comfort and modularity.
Two papers and one round table were the occasion to talk about the evolutions in terms of safety from an international point of view, and in particular about the requested criteria in order to obtain the sixth star of the Euro NCAP test, that concerns the anti-whiplash. Two current cars could pretend to this 6th star, the Saab 9.3 and the Volvo V70. Faurecia, which already supplies the Saab 9.3, will propose from 2007 three solutions in order to meet the automakers' requests in this field.
Finally, among all the propositions to increase comfort, Faurecia maintains its leadership in Europe for modularity, except for power versions.
