The savoir-faire of a global automotive equipment supplier

Already well established in Europe, the Faurecia Group enjoyed strong development on other continents, including North America, South America and Asia. This development illustrates our customers' recognition of our savoir-faire, enabling us to increase and diversify our presence and business activities to an ever-growing number of brands and models throughout the world regions, which is the strategic aim of our six modules. The Group?s capacity for innovation and the expertise of its personnel have made Faurecia a major player in the automotive industry.

In order to take account of structural changes in the automotive industry, we are pursuing a policy of strengthening our plans for progress in our key businesses. As far as our operational performance is concerned, each of our 160 sites worldwide measures its progress according to our common management system, the Faurecia Excellence System.

We are also continuing to develop our industrial measures as well as our panel of suppliers in order to rapidly achieve the best possible worldwide cost structure. At the same time, our organization has changed to make the Group more efficient and to help us enjoy a closer relationship with our customers. In concrete terms, this has meant both reinforcing our sales teams, especially during the pre-development phase, and giving priority to innovation in order to improve our offer in each of our product lines.

We have also grouped our purchasing activities together by product family in order to improve relations with our suppliers. Finally, we have made changes to the roles and responsibilities of the main support functions, giving priority to strengthening expertise. Thus, with our 4,000 engineers and technicians, we are continually investing in areas that include safety, perceived quality, modularity, design and the environment.

Given the Group?s strong position in the automotive market, its global presence, the expertise of its personnel and its dynamic approach to innovation, I am convinced that Faurecia has all it requires to position itself among the automotive market leaders for a long time to come. Our savoir-faire, which has emerged from a shared heritage that we have built up with the European automakers ,will enable the Group, together with its customers all over the world, to design and produce the best vehicles of the future.
