Seaboard's Marine Division is a world-class ocean carrier with container shipping services between the United States, the Caribbean Basin, and Central and South America. Seaboard Marine's primary operations include a 135,000 square-foot warehouse in Miami for cargo consolidation and temporary storage, plus a 70 acre terminal at the Port of Miami. At the Port of Houston, Seaboard operates a 62 acre cargo terminal facility with over 690,000 square feet of on-dock warehouse space for temporary storage of bagged grains, resins and other cargoes. Scheduled vessel calls are also made in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Fernandina Beach, Florida, and New Orleans, Louisiana.
Seaboard's fleet consists of 10 owned and roughly 27 chartered vessels, thousands of dry, refrigerated, specialized containers and related equipment. Seaboard Marine provides direct service from port of Miami to and from over 25 countries and is often the largest carrier, by volume, within its service lanes. Extended services are offered from our domestic ports of call to and from multiple foreign destinations through connecting carrier agreements.
Seaboard's Marine's network of offices and agents throughout the United States, Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean Basin maximizes fleet utilization for both northbound and southbound cargo to and from the countries it serves. Full service intermodal capabilities allow either truck or rail, import and export, cargo transport to and from various U.S. ports. Seaboard's frequent and reliable services offer our customers the convenience to coordinate manufacturing schedules to maintain cost-efficient inventory levels.
