The AGP® corn processing plant at Hastings, Nebraska and the AGP methyl ester plant at Sergeant Bluff, Iowa are the production facilities for AGP's Industrial Products Division.
At the corn processing plant in Hastings, AGP produces denatured ethanol. The product is marketed to major petroleum companies who blend it with gasoline to produce motor vehicle fuel that is cleaner burning than conventional gasoline. This has created a substantial market for corn produced by AGP farmer-owners in central Nebraska.
Methyl ester is produced through further processing of soybean oil. It is an ideal additive to diesel fuel. Modified, it can also be used as a solvent, or an agricultural spray adjuvant, among other exciting uses. These environmental-friendly products are marketed through Ag Environmental Products, L.L.C. (AEP) a wholly owned subsidiary of AGP.
