Dear Changepoint User:
With the spring of 2007 approaching, the impact of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 needs
to be considered. Daylight Saving Time (DST) dates in the United States and Canada
will be updated by:
- Starting three weeks earlier at 2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March
- Ending one week later at 2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November.
Information regarding the 2007 time zone update for Microsoft Windows operating systems can
be found via http://support.microsoft.com/kb/928388
Changepoint Updates:
The Changepoint compatibility matrix will be adjusted to reflect certification of the applicable
Microsoft patches or hot fixes.
In addition, Compuware Changepoint will be issuing a patch which must be applied in advance of
the second Sunday in March in order to ensure DST changes are honored in Changepoint.
- This patch will be available for Changepoint Versions 9, 10 and 11
- Customers on earlier versions should contact the Changepoint Support Desk or your
Client Manager for direction on how to proceed.
Changepoint is targeting release of the DST patch by the end of February. Patches will be available
via the normal process through the Client Portal. Information updates will also be provided on
the Client Portal.
Impact:
If the Daylight Saving patch is not applied, the Request SLA and Billable Request Hour calculations
may be affected, impacting invoicing, revenue and billing. Therefore, customers are strongly advised
to apply this patch in conjunction with the operating system and application hot fixes noted
by Microsoft (http://support.microsoft.com/gp/cp_dst).
