Laser Marking Systems Manufacturer: OTLAS
Laser Marking technology that makes you think big
Otlas is the designer, manufacturer and installar of highly flexible Co2 Laser Marking Systems that allow to satisfy a wide range of market-demand applications. OT-LAS has always believed in the potential of development and differentiation of the applications its laser engraving machines are designed for. High technology and creativity characterise all the laser marking devices, and thanks to its productivity and user-friendliness OT-LAS's laser technology is appreciated worldwide.
Laser Marking Applications
Laser Decoration
Laser Decoration can be the only step of the production, or a part of longer processes. A successful result is given not only from a correct use of the machines for the laser decoration, but also from the design, the material, the additional treatments made on the piece, from the requirements of the market, from the deep knowledge of the material. For these reasons every operator on OT-LAS laser marking systems is exclusive, even in his application, and can distinguish himself from his potential competitors, by personalising his creations. Apart from the model, the marking process is subdivided in two phases: Graphic processing phase It is a free choice, as it can be operated as per requirements and knowledge of the operator: the only condition is to supply the machine with a vector graphic file design, with PLT extension. The operator can choose in which way to achieve the file among several graphic software, scanner, graphic board, mouse? The simple and intuitive engraving running software allows to: 1) Display the drawing and set its structure (dimensions, position, a.s.o.) 2) Set the kind of process fixing speed, power, kind of line, multiple and sequential operations. 3) Move axis (to set the thickness, to work on bigger surfaces than the single chosen area) Engraving phase of any item depends on the required result.
Laser Marking - Leather Laser Decoration
Marking, cutting and perforating leather and fabric, both natural and synthetic, is very interesting thanks to a result without fraying. To work on hairy hide or furs can give remarkable results, when it is possible to remove the hair, completely or partially, as per required effects. This application had and is still having a strong development, especially in the clothing industry, footwear and bags high quality production, such like most known designers' creations. The fantastic results obtained in this field induced us to specialise our machines more and more: high execution speed and best resolution. These machines are ideal for getting laces effect, even in big dimensions.
Textile Marking: Fabric Decoration
Marking, cutting and perforating natural and synthetic fabric and textile gives very interesting results. Cutting doesn't leave fraying and the hem of synthetic materials is sharp, as the material is remelted by the laser, and it is not necessary to sew it. Also remarkable effects can be reached during the process of TNT fabrics and hairy fabrics; hair can be completely or partially removed, as per required designs. This application had and is still having a strong development, especially in the clothing industry, footwear and bags high quality production, such like most known designers' creations. The fantastic results obtained in this field induced us to specialise our machines more and more: high execution speed and best resolution. These machines are ideal to work on big dimensions, in continuous cycle, on rolls or piece.
Wood Laser Decoration
Wood veneer and wood of any kind and thickness, laminated, MDF, combined, paper-covered, two-coloured. It is possible to engrave raw wood, semifinished, finished, and even polished wood. On raw wood, the marked lines take any colour shade from beige to dark brown. On the laminated or painted wood, depending on their composition, it is also possible to get a simple opacification of the surface. It is possible to dig only high thickness, better if raw or semifinished. Wood cutting is mostly used for inlays, to realise very little size items, absolutely perfect.
Glass Laser Decoration
Glass, mirror, pottery, china: these materials can be engraved and decorated, not cut or traced. Usually the effect on glass, china and pottery is opacification and roughness of the surface. Mirrors have the same effect of glass when engraved on the reflecting surface; the metallic side remains transparent when engraved on that side. Looking at the item with a light behind, the decoration shines. It is interesting to use the laser technology in traditional fields, by engraving glass objects (dishes, glasses, trays, a.s.o.) and then plating with gold: the traditional method consists of many long processes. With the laser engraving machines it is also possible to work on plain surfaces, which are excluded with usual methods (with pantograph).
Stone Laser Decoration
The stones, which are usually considered natural, are used as ornaments and jewellery: agates, quartz, cornelian, malachite, marble, alabaster, granite and earthenware. Marking on these materials can be deeper or not, depending on their capacity to dissipates heat. On the stones used in jewellery it is possible to obtain a bas-relief effect, similar to cameos. The surface of marble and alabaster loose its polishing and becomes whitish and satined. Artistic applications, such like decoration of walls, tombstone, a.s.o. are very frequent.
Paper Laser Decoration, Cutting
Any material concerning paper industry can be decorated, perforated and cut. It is very interesting the effect obtained through microperforation of thin paper, which keeps its resistance (watermark effect). Some examples can be boxes, which are cut, perforated and decorated at the same time, visit cards, greeting cards, personalised writing paper...
Plastic Laser Decoration
It is possible to work on every acrylic material but PVC, as it generates toxic smokes for mankind and environment. Methacrylate, usually called Plexiglass, gets the best results among the plastic materials processed with laser ; depending on the kind of material the surface can be opacisied (extruded Plexiglas) or polished (strained Plexiglas). It is also possible to cut the plastic material when it is thin up to few mm.
