Coherent's laser training courses are designed to meet a full range of customer needs. The basic types of courses offered include Operator and OEM/Integrator courses, and Service courses.
Operator and OEM/Integrator Courses
These courses are designed to help our customers maintain and operate their Coherent lasers optimally. Coherent offers Operator and OEM/Integrator courses on our Ion, CW tunable, Ultrafast, DPSS and Pulsed Nd:YAG products. Upon successfully completing a training program, participants will gain a level of knowledge and skill that allows them to operate, optimize and maintain their laser system effectively and efficiently.
Service Courses
Designed for customers who must service their own Coherent lasers, we offer in-depth service training courses. These advanced courses are geared for individuals with strong backgrounds in both optics and electronics. Participants who successfully complete a Service training program will obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to install and maintain their lasers, and to perform efficient electronic and optical repairs.
Instructors
Our instructors have extensive knowledge and experience in their areas of product specialty. They have gained their expertise through formal education and by working in various fields, from manufacturing to customer service to engineering. Each instructor creates a professional and comfortable environment that is ideal for learning.
All courses include both lecture and lab time with the emphasis on hands-on learning and individualized attention. Class sizes are small, ensuring a generous amount of personal attention. All course materials, including manuals and books, are provided by Coherent.
