Working at Novartis
Life Is Too Short Not To Have Fun At Work
Nayan Gregory Parekh , PhD, Head of Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions, Novartis International, Switzerland, is thrilled about his job at Novartis:
"Coming from an investment banking career, I was looking for a challenging environment where I could work quickly and be part of an energetic team. On joining Novartis, I was pleased to find that the management is even more entrepreneurial and more passionate about their jobs than I had expected.
I'm particularly proud of having the opportunity to change the structure and culture of our Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions team. There is a lot of work needed in further building the team and coordinating and refining our efforts. Fortunately there is excellent training, like the Harvard Business School management courses offered by Novartis. Once the department is fully built and running smoothly, I look forward to taking on further challenges.
Teambuilding is a priority for me and my team. We have a drink or lunch together weekly and hold larger group events, such as mini-golf or skiing. Life is too short not to have fun at work."
