In an industry where it is hard for a European rider to make their mark as a top level pro, Eero Ettala has done just that. The 21 year old Finish rider has been snowboarding for 8 years and isn't slowing down any time soon. He has been consistently stepping up his riding each year, which is easily seen in his videos part. In just five years he went from having a small shared video part, to getting the opening part in a Standard film, to getting the opening part in a Mack Dawg film, and finally claiming the closing spot in Mack Dawg's new film Follow Me Around. On top of these insane video parts, Eero destroys any contest he enters, placing first at the Toyota Big Air with a switch double back flip. It was the first time that this trick was ever landed in a competition.
This year, he was nominated for "rider of the year" at the Transworld riders poll. Eero's remarkable skill can be seen in everything he does, from snowboarding to skating to his signature product. Eero takes a hands-on approach in the development of his boards, boots and bindings. With his help, Nitro is able to deliver finely tuned products that will help you get it done, just as Eero does.
