At Avian Adventures, we love birds.  Pure and simple.  And so we are very passionate about creating innovative products of the highest quality - products that promote a fun, safe, and healthy environment for your bird.  Because, as any true bird lover knows, if the bird is happy, the owner is happy.  We consider it our job to make sure everyone's happy.

To us, manufacturing the best bird cage is serious business.  Functionality, durability, design - these concepts are thoroughly considered prior to beginning the manufacturing process.  In fact, we regularly meet with our design and advisory board, which consists of the finest bird-minds in the United State.  We create prototypes and invite our feathered friends to put all our products to the test before they are produced.  Once our products are released, we solicit and act upon the continuous feedback from our customers.  Together, this allows us to  continually improve our products. 


Our Avian Adventures Family:

Our founder and President is Carol Frank, a former CPA who has a BBA in accounting from University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from Southern Methodist University. She began her career with Ernst and Young before switching to the pet industry in 1987 when she opened Animal Kingdom. She currently serves on the boards of the Dallas Audubon Society. She is a former first vice-president of the Pet Industry Distributor's Association and the Dallas chapter of Young Entrepreneur's Organization.

Carol is also a professional speaker and author who speaks to business leaders and entrepreneurs about the joys and pitfalls of owning and operating a business. Her new book "Do as I Say, Not as I Did: Gaining Wisdom in Business through the Mistakes of Highly Successful People" is a fun, educational read for anyone interested in business.

She is also an avid bird fanatic and is the proud owner of a Solomon-Island Eclectus named Murphy Green and a Black-Headed Caique named Chuck.

Meet Erin Fenstermaker Director of Sales and Planning.

Erin Fenstermaker, MBA, brings over 11 years of managerial experience in the wireless telecommunication industry to the team. Erin served with Avian Adventures for 12 months as the Customer Service Manager. As Director of Sales and Planning, Erin focuses on sales, inventory planning, and manufacturing for the company. She is also the proud mother of two cats, Spanky and Shooter. She is a true animal lover and care taker.



 

Meet Pamela Hardin Spaeth, Director of Operations and Marketing

Pamela Spaeth received her Bachelors of Science from Colorado State University with a double major in Agriculture Science and Social Science with a minor in Economics. She uses her background from various areas of the animal industry to fulfill her duties in the areas of shipping, marketing, public relations and accounts receivable. Pamela is the proud parent of two cockatiels (Vladimir and Sonja), a Boxer (Ellie) and a Rat Terrier (Taco).

Sarah is the newest member of the Avian Adventures team, and we are delighted to have such a talented person on board.  An avid animal lover since her childhood, Sarah is the mother of four children, a former Marine, and an incredibly nice person!
