To find out more about the way our unique products help breeders of all sorts of birds take this link to our breeder articles.

Dear Sally,
I would like to tell you how much our breeding has improved since discovering your products. For these two years we have only fed Birdcare Company supplements - exactly as directed and with great success. The products we use are Daily Essentials2, Calcivet, ProBoost SuperMax, Potent Brew, Aviclens and Spark.
We give Daily Essentials2 all year round in the aviaries. The birds' vitality is top class, with very few birds dying. They are always fit and energetic.
ProBoost SuperMax is an outstanding product for breeding. The fertility rate has remained virtually constant for two years now at about 65-70%. The youngsters hatch outstandingly well, are very well fed and grow exceedingly strongly. I would say the hatching rate is above 60%. Almost all fertile eggs hatch!
Then we come to the product which for me personally is the most perfect, namely Calcivet!! Calcivet is simply fantastic, whether it's the breeding season or not. Lots of eggs without any difficulties, hardly a problem with a hen, they all lay exceedingly well, even the hens that typically had problems. That is the success of Calcivet!!!!!
We have hens in the bird room which have not laid for two years or have only laid maybe one egg. Since regularly giving Calcivet and ProBoost SuperMax over the past year, we have managed to bring these hens back into breeding condition again and now get full clutches from them! These hens now breed and raise their chicks without a hitch. We were thinking of giving these difficult hens away - just as well we didn't!
We started breeding in November 2002 and by 8th January already had over 50 youngsters on the perch (we breed our budgerigars in 37 boxes). Fantastic!!!!!!! There are no 'runners' or feather problems (thanks to Calcivet and ProBoost SuperMax), no problems at all thanks to Birdcare Company products.
Another advantage of The Birdcare Company is that, if there is a problem of any sort, we can contact you and you will advise on the problem as far as you can. I find that fantastic, because we are talking about some pretty valuable birds here. Other companies certainly do not offer a service like that!!!!
We would be very happy for you to use this in your promotion, as we always tell breeders that visit our bird room how good Birdcare Company products are. We stand right behind Birdcare Company products.

Thomas Lautenschläger

The breeding partnership of Schiller & Lautenschläger is the most successful in East Westfalia with many good results at regional and national shows. They first started breeding in 1996 so they have only been going for about six years. Originally they bought stock from Jo Mannes and Richard Kuhr, which should give every breeder some idea of their stock. Later they added a few pairs from Bernd Stegemann. So their successful breeding is based only on these three studs

Dear Malcolm,
As you know, I have been using Birdcare Company products to supplement the diet of my cockatiels for the last six or seven years and already this breeding season appears to be better than ever. Fertility is very high and the young birds that have already fledged are larger than in previous years. The first seven pairs produced thirty-five eggs and only one egg was infertile. Thirty-three live babies were produced with only one dead-in-shell. One pair reared eight young, which fledged when they were between 27 and 30 days old. Their average weight at ten days was 55 grams (food in crop) reaching an average weight at three weeks of 109 grams. Four of these pairs already have a second round of 23 fertile eggs between them, with one hen having laid eight fertile eggs. Except for one hen that insists on nibbling the crest of her youngsters as soon as it grows (she is not allowed to rear her own young after the age of ten days), there has been absolutely no feather plucking of the youngsters. This early success will enable me to end this breeding season at least one month earlier than usual and I may even get a break before the showing season starts.
When I first started breeding cockatiels, I did not use any supplements and I can therefore appreciate the tremendous difference that Daily Essentials and Calcivet have made to their health. The third supplement that I tried. ProBoost SuperMax, enabled breeding pairs that I have had from the early days to produce much larger youngsters. Gone are the days when I was happy to ring chicks that had only reached 40 grams. The feather quality of the youngsters is superb and it it is rare for tail feathers of young birds to break soon after they have grown. Eye infections amongst my birds are also a rarity despite the fact that I do not clean perches any more often than other breeders. My aviaries are often over-crowded towards the end of my breeding season but featherplucking is not a problem and you will not see any of my cockatiels resembling vultures because their necks are plucked bare. The benefits from other Birdcare COmpany supplements that I use are perhaps more subtle but one I would like to mention is Guardian Angel. As I hand rear cockatiels I often encounter crop problems that can be fatal for young cockatiels. Good management and prompt action is vital and Guardian Angel is a real asset when dealing with this disorder.
As I have been breeding cockatiels for about twelve years I have obviously gained a great deal of experience which means that I can prevent problems before they begin. Without the use of supplements, this would be much more difficult and it has been a real pleasure to deal with a firm like The Birdcare Company. The advice that I have received from you over the years has always been excellent and I regard your products as real 'value for money'. Using Birdcare Company supplements means a stress free breeding season for both my cockatiels and me. My thanks to both you and your staff.

Jennifer Jones.

Dear Malcolm,

I have now used Birdcare products for 4 years, and in that time have reared over 300 young Yorkshire canaries to maturity. Based on my previous feeding methods, I would have achieved around the 120-150 mark over the same period, at most. This year has been another 'poor year' for many canary breeders, but I have reared 80 young birds, ending the season one month earlier than normal.
Obviously, my improved results are not solely down to Birdcare products, but I am convinced they have been, and continue to be the catalyst for my on-going successes. People regularly ask me if and how I use your products, and whether I find them expensive. The additional stock I am producing more than pays for itself, compared to the price of the Birdcare products I am using ? so to me, they remain on my 'essential shopping' list - as for advice, if people cannot find help from your revised web pages, then that help probably does'nt exist!

Germany, July 2000

Dear Sirs,
I first became aware of your products at Kassel in November 1999, but as I was already breeding my 30 pairs of Zebra finches I did not want to switch products.
Unfortunately the first round was very poor, with at most 2 chicks per clutch and many infertile eggs, giving me about 50 chicks in total. I was obviously very unhappy, although I was feeding products I had used quite happily for many years.
I then visited the Dutch National in Apeldoorn in January 2000, where your firm had a stand, so I tried your products (Calcivet, ProBoost SuperMax, Daily Essentials 3), despite never changing supplements or feed during breeding.
The result was amazing, much to my pleasure. Clutches in the second round were large, with 6, sometimes 7 or 8, eggs and fertility was very high (90%). This gave me 4 to 5 youngsters per nest. I was surprised to notice the chicks growing more quickly than previously, registering that I would need to ring the chicks earlier (day 5 or 6, instead of days 7 to 9). Also the breeding pairs, particularly the hens, were in very good condition. Many wanted to go on to a third clutch, but only rarely do I ever go to 3 rounds.
From the second round I had about 120 youngsters from my 30 pairs. Of course, some nests only had one or two chicks, but the majority had 4 to 5 (sometimes 6 or 7).
I am very happy with your products and will use them again this breeding season, only this time, from the start!

Jens Schütte

Last year , I used the Birdcare Company products for the first time, and enjoyed a successful breeding season, rearing almost twice as many Yorkshires as I had anticipated - finishing breeding earlier than normal, with 90% of hens rearing their own young and chicks off every single cock bird thanks to your products. Calcivet (CalciBoost) was particularly successful, saving young I would otherwise certainly have lost. This year, after a year of using your products, the results were the same - again twice my normal quota of birds reared, in a year when many breeders have struggled. This time, your Top Up mixture was a life saver - helping hens who were reluctant early feeders, until the chicks were large enough for their mothers to take over.

Brian Keenan

Just a note to let you know that my Zebra Finch's latest clutch all hatched and have left the nest. Since using

Potent Brew there are no 'clear' eggs and the birds love it.

Many Thanks, Pegi Tiedtke

Recently I had lost 18 baby canaries although full with food and starting to feather. Following your advice I used Potent Brew and things have been much better this time around. We have reared 25 chicks from the same number of pairs.
Thank you for your advice,

Mr Andrew Outhwaite

Mr Nick Wileman states that Potent Brew is wonderful. He opened a nest of Starlings two weeks old and the chicks were fully feathered, just like little miniatures.
