The drop-box outside is for in-store rentals only. Your DVDs from BLOCKBUSTER Online should be sealed in their return mailers.
  • DVD exchange is good for movie rentals only. Redeem your free in-store movie rentals on the same visit in which you return your DVDs from BLOCKBUSTER Online.
  • These free in-store movie rentals are in addition to the number of DVDs out at-a-time allowed by your BLOCKBUSTER Online plan.
  • Movies rented in-store will not be removed from your online Queue. To get more of the movies you love, be sure to remove titles rented in-store from your Queue. Enjoy your in-store movie.
  • When you exchange online DVDs at your local BLOCKBUSTER store your next movie is shipped within one business day right away, but it may take 2-3 days for the title returned to the store to clear from your Shipped Movies list queue.
  • Free in-store rentals must be returned to the store where they were originally rented. See your receipt for store location and due dates.

  1. Q. What's the difference between a BLOCKBUSTER Online DVD and an in-store rental?

    A. BLOCKBUSTER Online DVDs arrive in the mail packaged inside our BLOCKBUSTER Online envelope with your address printed on the outside and a return mailer and DVD on the inside. In-store DVDs are rented from BLOCKBUSTER stores and come in a hard plastic case.

  2. Q. Once I return a BLOCKBUSTER Online DVD in the store, how long will it take for my next DVD to be shipped?

    A. The next available DVD from your queue should will be sent out the next business day. While reviewing your Queue, you may notice that DVDs exchanged or checked in at the store will remain in your "Shipped Movies" list until received by the Return Center. This does not prevent additional DVDs from being shipped; it's simply our way of tracking when a DVD is physically received by the Return Center.

  3. Q. Do I need a BLOCKBUSTER store membership to participate in this program?

    A. Yes, a separate, complimentary, in-store membership is required. You can sign up in the store - it's quick, easy and FREE. Keep in mind that in-store rentals are subject to regular rental terms and conditions including due dates and charges which may apply to product kept beyond the due date. In-store rentals must be returned to the store where rented. See your local, participating BLOCKBUSTER store for complete rental terms.     A. No, the movies you rent from the store will not be removed from your online Queue. To get more of the movies you love, be sure to update your Queue and remove any movies you've rented at the store duplicate titles.

    A. Once the store checks in your online rental, the next available DVD from your Queue should will be shipped within the next business day.

  6. Q. The movie I rented in-store is also listed in my Queue. How can I avoid receiving duplicate titles?

    A. Titles rented in-store that are also in your Queue are not removed from your Queue. To avoid receiving duplicate titles, we suggest that you log in and update your Queue manually to remove titles rented in-store.

And for those times when you find yourself without a movie or a return mailer, you'll receive one monthly movie or game coupon to use just in case. You can find this e-coupon inMy Account. The bottom line: you're getting more, free, in-store movie rentals, at no extra charge.

The bottom line: you're getting more, free, in-store movie rentals, at no extra charge and you still have your two free in-store game coupons, too.

    A. To exchange your BLOCKBUSTER Online DVD, it should be sealed in its original mailer. Unfortunately, a store cannot check in or exchange a DVD without the return mailer.
