John Ratzenberger is the newest competitor to join "Dancing with the Stars."
ABC's hit reality series names a substitute competitor to replace "The Sopranos"' "Big Pussy." JOHN RATZENBERGER will put on his dancing shoes as the replacement for "The Sopranos" star VINCENT PASTORE, who was forced to drop out of the competition for health reasons one week into rehearsals.
The series' producers had previously invited Ratzenberger to compete, but a scheduling conflict prevented his acceptance prior to now. Joining at this late date will put the former "Cheers" star a little behind the eight-ball, as he will have two weeks less training time than his fellow competitors.
The other celebs competing for the coveted mirrorball prize are HEATHER MILLS, country music singer BILLY RAY CYRUS, former *NSYNC member JOEY FATONE, 2004 Miss USA SHANDI FINNESSEY, TV/radio personality LEEZA GIBBONS, supermodel PAULINA PORIZKOVA and "90210" alumnus IAN ZIERING.
