NYC's recovering from the three-day party that was New York Comic Con, but Marvel.com is still rockin'. Check out our photo gallery and announcements, and keep your eyes peeled for audio and video to come.
To keep up with all of the great books we'll be adding, you'll need to keep a sharp eye on New-In-Stock and $50+ New-In-Stock for at least the rest of this week. Cold Cut Product Spotlight -- Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms

Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms by Fumiyo Kouno
What impact did World War II and the dropping of the atomic bomb have on the common people of Japan? Through the eyes of an average woman living in 1955, Japanese artist Fumiyo Kouno answers these questions. Fumiyo Kouno's light, free style of drawing evokes a tender reflection of this difficult period in Hiroshima's postwar past. As the characters continue with everyday life, the shadow of the war and the atomic bombing linger ghostlike in the background. A widely embraced best seller in Japan, where the work was also controversial, Town of Evening Calm, Country of Cherry Blossoms is the winner of several prestigious awards including Grand Prize at the 8th Japan Media Arts Festival (2004), New Life Award at the 9th Osamu Tezuka Cultural Prizes (2005). (Book description from the back cover).

NEW SERIES ARTIST TONY DANIEL PENCILS THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11
Acclaimed artist Tony Daniel (TEEN TITANS) steps in to pencil THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11 (FEB070274), written by Marc Guggenheim and inked by Art Thibert. Daniel will remain on THE FLASH as the new series penciller.
In this story, called “Full Throttle,” the top Rogues are united by one voice to take down the Flash — but who is it?
“I’m looking forward to working on THE FLASH with Marc Guggenheim, who I think is a very gifted and unique up-and-coming writer destined for big success,” says Daniel. “I’ve always been a huge Bart Allen fan and The Flash is one of the most recognized DC icons. ‘A’ game, here I come!”
Also, DC Comics has added a variant cover by Daniel to issue #11, which retailers will receive in a split of approximately 50/50 with the solicited cover by Ethan Van Sciver.
THE FLASH: THE FASTEST MAN ALIVE #11 (FEB070274) is solicited in the February Previews (Volume XVII #2) and is scheduled to arrive in stores on April 18. Retailers may adjust their orders on this issue through its Final Order Cutoff date of March 29.
ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY SPOTIGHTS SCALPED AND DMZ VOL. 2: BODY OF A JOURNALIST TP
The February 23 issue of Entertainment Weekly features the DMZ VOL. 2: BODY OF A JOURNALIST TP (NOV060292) on the Hot List, calling it “utterly relevant.” Also, SCALPED is reviewed in the March 2 issue, with Tom Russo calling Jason Aaron’s writing “promisingly matched with (R.M.) Guera’s prairie-dusty art,” and giving the series a grade of “B.”
