Expeditors Quota Monitor™
Overview
Quota Monitor™ estimates Customs quota status to allow importers to monitor U.S. textile and apparel quotas.
The Challenge
U.S. imports of textiles and apparel face a myriad of quota restrictions. Monitoring quota categories can be complex and confusing - even to trained experts. With the sporadic implementation of various China Safeguards, the process becomes even more complicated. Goods arriving into the U.S. after a quota category is filled are either denied clearance or face higher duty rates. Parties who are unable to effectively keep a pulse on quota status risk severe impairment of their business.
Our Assistance
Combining technology with customs data, Expeditors has made monitoring quota status convenient and easy. Expeditors Quota Monitor™ translates complex electronic quota information into easy-to understand information. Via the Internet, Shippers and Importers can monitor hot quota categories to rationalize their ship windows and transportation mode options.
