	Power Supply Controllers

Description

Power supply controllers drive external transistors (MOSFETs) to switch an input voltage that in turn drive a transformer primary or inductor. By using external transistors, the power dissipation and most of the switching noise is external to the controller allowing more precise regulation of the output voltage or current. Having the transistors external to the controller also allows the controller to be used in a wide variety of input voltage, output voltage, and load current conditions for increased utility.
