The temperature measurements with the hard drive fan running were between 9.17 ºC to 13.43ºC cooler than the scenario where the hard drive cooling fan was removed. The consequence of the additional heat on the hard drives in the absence of the cooling fan will be reduced hard drive reliability. According to the Arrhenius Reaction Rate Model, predicted reliability reduction was between 26.5 to 33.9%.
