Textron Businesses

Textron consists of numerous subsidiaries and operating units. These businesses are known by familiar brand names, including Bell Helicopter, Cessna Aircraft, Greenlee and E-Z-GO, among others. Every Textron business [1] is intensely committed to delivering innovative, market-leading solutions that ensure the success of our customers. Today, we continue to expand our leadership positions in four core business segments:

Bell (29% of 2005 revenues) The Bell segment includes Bell Helicopter [2], Textron Systems Corporation [3] and Lycoming Engines [4]. Bell Helicopter is a leader in the global helicopter industry and the pioneer of tiltrotor aircraft. Textron Systems provides innovative technology solutions to meet the needs of the global aerospace and defense industries. Lycoming Engines is the world leader in reciprocating aircraft engines. Cessna (35%of 2005 revenues) Cessna Aircraft Company [5] is the leading worldwide manufacturer of general aviation aircraft, with product lines spanning single-engine piston aircraft, utility turboprop aircraft and Citation business jet models. Citation customers have access through a network of 10 company-owned Citation Service Centers. Finance (6% of 2005 revenues) Textron Financial [6] is a diversified commercial finance company with core operations in Aviation Finance, Asset-Based Lending, Distribution Finance, Golf Finance, Resort Finance, and Structured Capital. Industrial (30% of 2005 revenues) The Industrial segment is a diverse collection of high-powered industrial businesses including Greenlee [7], E-Z-GO, Jacobsen [8], Kautex [9], and Fluid & Power Group [10] as well as various smaller brands within the Fluid & Power Group.

[3] Textron Systems Corporation is doing business as Textron Defense Systems. Textron Systems Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Avco Corporation. Avco Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. 

[4] Lycoming Engines is a division of Avco Corporation, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Textron Inc.

[5] Cessna Aircraft Company ("Cessna") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. Cessna is a separate legal entity and is a member of the Textron family of companies.

[6] Textron Financial Corporation ("Textron Financial") is a wholly owned subsidiary of Textron Inc. Textron Financial is a separate legal entity and is part of the Textron family of companies.

[7] The Greenlee business unit consists of various legal entities, including but not limited to Greenlee Textron Inc. and Tempo Research Corporation.

[8] The Jacobsen business unit consists of various legal entities, including the Jacobsen Division of Textron Inc., Ransomes Inc., and Cushman Inc.

[9] Kautex is a business unit which is conducted through a number of separately incorporated companies and other operations.

[10] The Fluid and Power business unit consists of various legal entities, including but not limited to David Brown Union Pumps Company, Cone Drive Operations Inc., and Maag Pump Systems Textron Inc.
