W Vinten was founded in 1910, incorporated in 1928 and floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1972.
The company changed its name to Vinten Group Limited in 1973 and eventually to Vinten Group plc in 1984.
As a consequenceof the expansion of the Group through various acquisitions during the next ten years, the company was renamed Vitec Group plc in 1995.
