Safety Tips | Be Safe When Using Your EZ Dumper

Your safety while using one of our EZ Dumper products is one of our main concerns. Don?t risk your own safety or that of others around you by improperly operating your EZ Dumper. Keeping these tips in mind will keep you and your EZ Dumper running strong:

1. Don?t Overload
All EZ Dumper products are designed for a specific GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating). Overloading your EZ Dumper could cause serious damage to both your equipment and you.

2. Secure Your Load
Properly securing your load before transporting it helps maintain the safety of other motorists by eliminating the likelihood of flying debris. It also prevents you from losing your load or having it shift in transit.

3. Scale Your Load
It is recommended that you scale your load to ensure you do not exceed GVWR.

4. Secure Tailgate
Before transporting, be sure you have used a pin or padlock to secure the tailgate. An improperly secured tailgate could be a serious road hazard.

5. Check Tire Pressure
If you have an EZ Dumper trailer, be sure to check tire pressure regularly, making certain it is inflated to the proper PSI.

6. Check Fluid Levels
Maintaining proper hydraulic fluid and oil reservoir levels ensures your EZ Dumper can properly lift and dump your loads.

7. Check Taillights
Ensure your trailer or truck taillights are working properly before hauling.

8. Check Brakes
Ensure all brakes are working properly and remember to increase breaking distance when carrying a load or hauling an EZ Dumper trailer.

9. Be Alert
Be Alert ? Whether you are using an EZ Dumper insert or trailer, be aware of your surroundings when transporting or dumping. It takes just a moment to prevent an error in judgment from becoming a costly mistake.

10. Adhere to Equipment Safety Laws
EZ Dumper recommends that all operators of EZ Dumper equipment adhere to state and federal safety laws. Do not operate EZ Dumper equipment if you are in any way impaired in judgment that would keep you from driving with a Class C or typical driver?s license.

If you have any questions regarding the maintenance or safety of an EZ Dumper product, please contact your local dealer who can be found on our dealer locator page.
