Regular Gallon Of Gas Nears $2.90
Prices Up 69 Cents This Year

CAMARILLO, Calif. -- Gasoline prices continued their painful climb, adding more than 8 cents a gallon during the past two weeks.The Lundberg Survey said self-serve regular now averages $2.87 a gallon. Mid-grade averages about $2.98, and premium $3.09 a gallon.Gas prices are up 69 cents a gallon so far this year, but are still 15 cents below the record last August, when regular averaged $3.03.
The cheapest gas currently is in Minneapolis at $2.65 a gallon, and the priciest in San Francisco at $3.37.
