Since 1991, DAVID Seeds has sponsored the Babe Ruth League, pitching the “Eat. Spit. Be Happy.™” message to youth baseball and softball players ages 5 to 18 nationwide. The Babe Ruth League has over 900,000 players in 45,000+ teams across the U.S., and even has a division named after Cal Ripken.
As the “Official Sunflower Seed of the Babe Ruth League,” DAVID provides free scorebooks and safety tips to each team in the league, awards to All Star players and DAVID Sunflower Seeds for purchase to be sold at concession stands for ball players and families to enjoy during the game. Keeping baseball FUN, especially in the early stages of youth baseball, is a primary concern of Babe Ruth League's Cal Ripken Division, which is comprised of Major, Minor, Rookie, and T-Ball Divisions. The Babe Ruth League and all youth baseball leagues are where kids share in the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of baseball, with an emphasis on playing the sport and having fun. Families in communities across the U.S. support youth baseball, and DAVID is happy to be a part of it.
