Use our site search to find what you are looking for. This search utility locates content throughout the Altria.com site. It does not include content from any of the Altria companies sites ( www.philipmorrisinternational.com, www.philipmorrisusa.com, www.philipmorriscapitalcorp.com ). Search is available at the top of every page on this site.

To search this Web site, simply enter one or more keywords into the Search box and then click on the "Search" button or press your computer's [enter] or [return] key. We'll look for matches to the keyword(s) you entered and display a list of all pages on this site and any downloadable content (like a PDF document) that contain your keyword(s).

Using Search

We use the keywords you enter to try and find exact matches. If you enter "events" we will list results that include the word "events". We ignore any punctuation in your search keywords. It doesn't matter if you use uppercase or lowercase words because the search is not case-sensitive. Spelling does matter. So please make sure you are spelling your keywords correctly.

If you don't use an advanced search (see below) we assume that the results must include at least one of the keywords you entered.

Keywords:	sports events
Results:	Includes all matches including the words sports and/or events. This means that a result page could include one or both word(s) somewhere on the page or both words next to each other on the page.

Advanced Searching

Use advanced searching options to more precisely describe your search request. Searches using advanced features usually find more precise results but may take longer than a simple search.

AND, OR, NOT
Use a mixture of the operator words AND, OR and NOT to broaden or narrow your search.

Keywords:	sports AND events AND location
Results:	Includes matches with all 3 words anywhere within the page

Keywords:	dogs OR puppies
Results:	Includes all matches with the word dogs or the word puppies, but not necessarily both.

Keywords:	surfing AND NOT the Internet
Results:	Finds all instances of surfing, as long as surfing is not followed by the phrase the Internet.

+, |, -
Use a mixture of the symbols that represent the operator words AND, OR and NOT to broaden or narrow your search. (+ is AND, | is OR, - is NOT)

Keywords:	sports +events +location
Results:	Includes matches with all 3 words anywhere within the page

Keywords:	dogs | puppies
Results:	Includes all matches with the word dogs or the word puppies, but not necessarily both.

Keywords:	surfing - Internet
Results:	Finds all instances of surfing, as long as surfing is not followed by the phrase Internet.

Using Pipe(s) - | and ||

Use a mixture of the operators | and || to refine your search.

Keywords:	dogs | cats
Results:	Searches the results of dogs with cats, ranking results by relevance to both dogs and cats. The pipe will tell the engine to include content on both sides of the pipe, where the word(s) to the right of the pipe is a subset of the word(s) to the left of the pipe. In other words, the word(s) to the left of the pipe is given more relevance in the search.

Keywords:	dogs || puppies
Results:	Searches the results of dogs with puppies, ranking results only by relevance to puppies. In searches that contain a double-pipe, only the content to the right of the double-pipe is used in relevance ranking. Content to the left of the double-pipe has no impact on relevance scores.

Pipes and Plus Signs

Sometimes the pipe operator and plus operator behave in the same way.

For example, the following queries produce the same results:
+restaurant +pizza
restaurant | pizza

In each case, both the word restaurant and the word pizza must appear in the search results.

However, by adding several more query terms to the mix, the difference becomes more apparent. These are not equivalent.
+restaurant +bistro +pizza +spaghetti
restaurant bistro | pizza spaghetti

Boolean equivalent

You can specify a query in Boolean logic as:
(laser ADJ printer) AND (color OR (plain ADJ paper)) AND NOT (HP OR Hewlett-Packard) 

This complex query above may be typed into the search box as:
+"laser printer" color "plain paper" -HP, -Hewlett-Packard

Quotation Marks

Use quotation marks around your search terms to find exact matches. You can also use quotation marks if you want to use AND, OR, NOT, or NEAR literally.

Keywords:	"sports events"
Results:	Includes all matches that include the exact phrase sports events.

Keywords:	"houses near parks"
Results:	Includes all matches with the phrase houses near parks.

Asterisks
Include asterisks in your search terms to match multiple unknown characters and broaden your search. Use a single asterisk (*) to look for words that begin with the same letters. 

Keywords:	key*
Results:	Finds matches that include key, keying, keyhole, keyboard, and so on

Search tips

If you are not finding what you expected, try the tips below to improve your search results:

• While you don't need to spell out the entire name of an item, specify as much as possible.
• If no matches are found, try fewer letters or an alternate spelling. Also check your spelling or try a less specific search word or phrase.
• If you don't find what you are looking for try a different search word or phrase with a similar meaning
• If you're using multiple keywords and are getting too many results, try using fewer words.
